My Work
As a Mexican artist, I have been influenced by my roots. The vibrant colours, intricate patterns and rich symbolism of Mexican textiles, were a constant inspiration for me in the beginning of my career. The patterns and symbols printed into Mexican Textiles were another source of endless inspiration for me. I have loved creating and designing with symbols of the Mayans, Aztecs and some of the other indigenous civilisations that stood out in the world of Architecture, Art, Astronomy, Writing and Agricultural technics.

The symbolism within these textiles, had deeply influenced my approach to design. They have shown me that art can be a dialogue between the maker, the viewer and the culture that surrounds it. Each piece reflects the intricate patterns and deep symbolism that characterise this ancient civilisation. My collection, as it grows, will celebrate the artistry and heritage of my ancestors, in a modern world.
